Conservancy

Tierra del Volcán was created in 1999 as a way of supporting the conservation of the earth and its resources, while simultaneously creating income, awareness of the environment and social welfare among the inhabitants of its sphere of influence as well as its shareholders.
Since then, we have worked proactively for the sustainable development of the region from a non-paternalistic approach. We have been the driving force behind educational and training processes in seven communities, working jointly with the authorities of Cotopaxi National Park, designing new inclusive models of ecotourism in the region and sharing knowledge and experiences with more than 50,000 visitors since 1999.

We are a company committed to the care and conservation of the environment around us. We are aware of the issues and needs in this area and have become widely involved in disinterested work for the benefit of nature.

Environment & Conservation

Fundación Páramo

Established in 1992, Fundación Páramo is a private, non-profit organization working for the sustainable development of the area and for conservation. Fundación Páramo protects over 75,000 hectares (185.329 Acres) of private land in the territory adjacent to Cotopaxi National Park, working hand-in-hand with the Park authorities.
Tierra del Volcán collaborates very closely with Fundación Páramo in the management and implementation of conservation projects, the training of local residents, and environmental education.
